Who Can Benefit from Lactation Support?

Lactation support is for anyone who wants guidance, encouragement, or solutions during their breastfeeding journey.

It’s especially helpful if you’re:

  • A First-Time Parent: Learning the ropes of breastfeeding and building confidence.
  • Experiencing Latch Issues: Struggling with your baby latching effectively or comfortably.
  • Concerned About Milk Supply: Whether you’re producing too much or too little, we can help you find balance.
  • Dealing with Painful Nursing: Addressing sore nipples, engorgement, or other discomforts.
  • Pumping or Bottle Feeding: Navigating pumping schedules, milk storage, or introducing bottles.
  • In a Unique Situation: Supporting parents of premature babies, multiples, or those with special feeding needs.

Every family’s feeding experience is different. No matter what challenges you’re facing, our lactation experts are here to provide the support and solutions you need.

Our goal is to offer practical solutions for real-life challenges, like choosing the right formula for your baby, safely storing and preparing breastmilk, or creating a feeding plan that works for your family.

As your baby grows, how you feed them will naturally evolve. We’ll be here to answer your questions and provide guidance at every stage of your journey. From hands-on help with positioning and latch techniques to troubleshooting common issues, we’ll offer step-by-step support tailored to your needs.

Expert Guidance for Feeding Your Baby

From pregnancy to returning to work—or anytime a feeding issue arises—our expert lactation support is here for you at an affordable hourly rate. Sessions are available in-person (preferred) or virtually to fit your needs.

Prenatal Lactation Visit

Prepare for infant feeding before your baby arrives. Your lactation consultant will guide you through colostrum harvesting, hand expression, what to expect in the first days after birth, positioning tips, and when to reach out for help.

Initial Postpartum Visit

Once your baby is here, your lactation consultant can help you troubleshoot latching pain, perform a weighted feed to assess milk transfer, address milk supply concerns, and explore pumping or formula supplementation if needed.

Follow-Up Appointments

We’re here to support you as you and your baby grow together. Follow-up appointments are a chance to check in on progress, celebrate milestones, address new concerns, and get referrals for more complex issues if necessary.

Back-to-Work Consultation

Up to a month before your return, your lactation consultant can help you create a pumping schedule, understand milk storage guidelines, practice paced bottle feeding, and explore supplementation strategies for your transition back to work.
